40 Days In The Garden Of My Art
Lent is the 40 days leading up to Easter. It is a time of personal reflection for lots of folks around the world, including Larissa. Every year Larissa gives something up for Lent...and makes some Art. YOU don't have to give anything up for Lent, unless of course that sounds like something you want to do. With 40 Days In The Garden Of My Art, Larissa is sharing her creative journey with you, inviting you to know her a little better and asking to know you better too.
Last year she gave up people-pleasing. A lot of good that did...but that's why they call it spiritual "practice". ;) This year she is giving up giving up.
Now for the juicy part...THE ART! Larissa has a visual series that's personal and you'll have to wait until Easter to get a peek. The finished work will be on display at The Gray Loft Gallery for East Bay Open Studios 2012. But THAT'S NOT ALL! She's got something else going on too.
You may have heard she is working on an album of mostly original music. You may even have an in-progress copy. Originally she had hoped to have it ready for release by March 2nd, but that isn't going to happen. Oh well. Shit happens. Larissa is super excited about the progress on the album and can't wait to share it with everyone when it's done.
